This is a rare wood type and a very large tree for the species.
It was salvaged from Toronto following a wind storm. It has a many very unique features. The sapwood is a very narrow white strip with the heartwood a deep yellow.
The central cracks and actual central heart has brown coloration. This wood will turn chocolate brown from oxidization if left unfinished and exposed to UV light. The bark is extremely rough and thick with a medium brown colour. This is a large oval shaped lazy susan with a double heart. This will be a coinurful accent piece on any table and will also be a conversation topic.
