Christmas events starting this weekend

We´re a bit over  a month away from Christmas, but that doesn’t mean it´s too early to celebrate. Muskoka is truly a winter wonderland, and what better way to experience it than to enjoy everything holiday season has to offer? We’ve gathered all the Christmas attractions starting this week in Muskoka so you know exactly where to go for a little festive cheer!

  • Canvas X Sandhill Wreath Decorating Workshop (Nov/29)
  • Sandhill Nursery joined Canvas Brewing Co. to provide the perfect workshop evening with friends, christmas decor and pints of local beer. Starting November 29th, the seasonal workshops will be back with a series of amazing events. The workshop starts at 7pm and you will learn step-by-step how to decorate a beautiful wreath while enjoying amazing local craft beer from Canvas Brewing Co. 

    Admission includes a 12Oz pint of beer and all the decor supplies you might need. For more information and the full schedule of workshops, visit their website. 


  • Bracebridge Festival of lights (Nov/25- 27)

  • This traditional Bracebridge celebration brings the christmas spirit to downtown bracebridge. From November 25th - 27th (all day) you can participate in some fun activities across the downtown shops. 

    The Elf of the Shelf Hide & Seek will hide little elves in different stores and those who find them are entered to win prizes in Downtown Dollars (credit to spend in participating shops). The Hot Cocoa Trail is a route of coffe shops, bakeries, restaurants and more, where you can try Hot Chocolate-inspired beverages to keep you warm during the outdoors fun. You can also participate in the Late Night Shopping activities when downtown shops will stay open late so you can enjoy everything Bracebridge has to offer.

  • Huntsville Santa Claus Parade (Nov/25) 

  • The traditional  Santa Claus parade happens, in Huntsville, in the evening, so you can enjoy the Christmas lights. The parade starts at 7pm and happens along Main St/King William St, starting at Centre Street and ending at Huntsville Place Mall. 

    You can even register a float to parade, just contact the Hunstville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce through their e-mail chamber@huntsvillelakeofbays.on.ca. For more information, click here. 


  • Muskoka Market Huntsville Holiday Edition 
  • The Muskoka Market - Holiday Edition brings a classic Christmas celebration. On November 26th and 27th, you can find amazing hot chocolate stands, outdoor fire pits, Christmas carols, shopping experiences for kids, giveaways and much more. Even Santa and Mrs. Claus will be joining the celebration in Downtown Huntsville. 

    On Saturday, the event happens from 10am-7pm. On Sunday you can enjoy the market from 11am-3pm. For extra information, visit their website. 


  • Hoppy Holiday Market Muskoka 

  • Canvas Brewing Co. will be hosting the second annual Hoppy Holiday Market Muskoka on November 26th and 27th. The event will host over 35 local vendors selling anything from handmade goods to tasty treats. It is a great opportunity to find gifts for your loved ones. 


  • Gravenhurst Santa Claus Parade
  • The traditional Gravenhurst Santa Claus Parade is back for its 69th edition. Santa Claus will be visiting Gravenhurst on November 26th at 11am. From 12:00 - 2pm you can enjoy Santa's Workshop including crafts and activities hosted by The Gravenhurst Public Library.
