SPECIAL FEATURES: Butternut trees are a protected species in Ontario, thus any piece is special and rare. This tree is 100+ yrs old died in the backyard of a house-...a crane was used to lift the trunk over the house. This is a partial slab from the trunk region, all rotted material has been removed and reconstruction was required. The colour is a very deep brown due to the age of the wood with extensive worm infestation. The poly/glass finish enhances the wood colour and features and creates a stunning piece. Large glass designer glass cups are well suited for this piece, and extensively reflects the candle light. This is a "one of a kind" piece and should be displaced prominently.
CARE: Clean with a dry/soft cloth. Use forced air or a Swiffer duster to remove dust
Polish with car or boat wax.
